For a family renovating their vacation home on the Jersey Shore, we worked to create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere with various flexible spaces that suited different purposes. Clean lines and pops of color and pattern emphasize the bright, open nature of the space and create rooms that offer an engaging, welcoming home away from home for the family and their guests. As a couple with adult children, it was important to that the home feel cozy when it’s just the two of them getting away for the weekend, but also that it be spacious enough to host guests and family gatherings - something we accomplished through smart space planning, flexible layouts, and diverse design solutions for different rooms. By combining furnishings and accessories the couple already owned with custom pillows - one of our favorite ways to achieve that pulled together look - we were able to design a home that both felt familiar and offered an escape from the everyday.
