For this project, we were involved in the process from the ground up - from floorplans to furnishings - designing a home for a young family to grow into. Our solution created a transitional, almost beachy vibe and mini "moments" around the house that made the space incredibly livable and personal. The couple are big entertainers, and we needed to make sure the flow was right for their lifestyle. We built out the butler's pantry, made it a bit of a "jewel box" with a super special backsplash and making the cabinetry the island color, so that entertaining and mixing cocktails is both comfortable and stylish. As a young, involved family, storage was also key - to maximize the efficiency of the space, we decided to frame the living room with double closets, and tucked storage nooks throughout the house. We also wanted to ensure the transition between indoor and outdoor living was seamless, making both spaces desirable highlights of the home where the family wanted to spend their time. Finally, it was thoughtful personalization that made this house a home, and bold design decisions that paid off big. By taking a chance with a repeating pattern playing out in both the wallpaper and pillows/upholstery of the guest room, we upped the ante for both overnight guests and those who use the space as a changing room for the pool.
